Dear St. Stephen’s Parishioners, Pilgrims and Friends,
I would like to share with you that St. Benedict Tours has planned a very special 11 Day pilgrimage/retreat, September 1 – September 11 2024, 9 nights in Medjugorje. During our pilgrimage/retreat, our pilgrims will be blessed to have Fr. Glenn Sudano, CFR, as our spiritual director.
Fr. Glenn will lead us in morning and evening prayers, offer conferences, and will be available for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. A beloved and well known retreat director, Fr. Glenn has led retreats for private groups and parishes throughout the United States and in Europe. Fr. Glenn has also made many pilgrimages to Medjugorje.
Fr. Glenn Sudano, CFR Spiritual Director As part of the retreat, the pilgrims will be able to participate in all of the spiritual activities offered in Medjugorje. This includes the opportunity to attend Holy Mass at St. James Church, receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and pray in the Chapel of Exposition. Our local guide will arrange for the pilgrims, that are physically capable, the opportunity to climb Apparition Hill and Cross Mountain, and pending availability, meetings with visionaries and local priests.
Time permitting, visits to local points of interest, e.g., Cenacolo and Mother’s Village will be scheduled. St. Benedict Tours will arrange for two one-day excursions to holy shrines which will include private Mass and lunch at a local restaurant. In Medjugorje, we will spend 7 nights at Hotel Jana, a beautiful, modern, 4 star plus hotel, conveniently located 200 meters from St. James Church. All the airconditioned rooms open out to a balcony, with a view of Apparition Hill or Cross Mountain. Free WiFi is available throughout the hotel including the guest rooms. At HotelJana, we will enjoy breakfast and dinner in a beautiful, private dining room. We will begin our pilgrimage/retreat with a two day stay in Old Town Split, Croatia.There our pilgrims will have the opportunity to relax, enjoy, and experience Croatian culture prior to continuing the pilgrimage to Medjugorje. .
The cost of the pilgrimage/retreat is $3,150.00 per person, double occupancy, land and air included. The single supplement is $350. Land only is $1,925.00. There is a $300.00 discount for priests, deacons and religious.(Not to be combine with any other discount). Air travel includes airport tax, confirmed seats, economy class, round trip, Newark International Airport, on Lufthansa Airlines.
A $400.00 deposit will reserve your place on this very special pilgrimage/retreat. Payments by credit cards may be made on St. Benedict Tours website.
